Language Classes

The Centre offers Japanese Language Classes for all ages, starting with kindergarten right up to adult. If you want to learn Japanese, introduce your child to the Japanese heritage, maintain your Japanese Language skills or just have an interest in the Japanese culture, these language classes are for you!

For high school students Grades 9 – 12 we offer 3 to 4 levels of Japanese instruction, each fully eligible for a Manitoba Department of Education Language Credit, if they pass their final exam.

Classes held at the Cultural Centre, 180 McPhillips St.

We teach a full school year. Classes can not be joined mid-term.

Fall Term: Sept 8 – Dec 15 2018 (123 classes)

Winter-Spring Term: Jan 12 – June 8 , 2019 (17 classes)
No classes: Feb 16 , March 23 & 30 , April 20, May 18

NOTE: Your school Principal or Administrator will advise if you are eligible for a Language Credit.
Students must be 14 years old, who were born in 2004; Credits are available to Grades 9-12 students only

REGISTRATION

All Program or Language Class Registrations are due and must be paid for ONE WEEK prior to the commencement of the Program or Class. We urge you to register early to avoid disappointment. Some workshops may have qualifying requirements. Insufficient numbers in registration may result in cancellation and all monies will be refunded.

Registration will be available mid-August for 2019!

ANNUAL TUITION : Heritage  $380; High School $410; Adult $505. (All fees are under review and will be updated in August 2019)  Early bird discounts may be available while late fees will be applied for late registrations. JCAM Membership required.

All classes are dependent on enrollment and therefore subject to cancellation. Every effort will be made to make good for cancellations beyond our control (weather, room availability, etc) but this is not guaranteed.
